Best Ultrabook 2013

If you have been considering purchasing an Ultrabook, you are not alone. Ultrabooks are extremely popular among today’s consumer because they are light, compact, attractive and durable. In addition, they are known for their good battery life and excellent performance. They are the perfect computing devices for people who are on the go, as they are generally trim and do not weigh too much. Ultrabooks are also able to handle your work and daily tasks, and their battery life will keep you going for several hours without needing to plug in. Convenience does however come with a price. Price tags for Ultrabooks start at around $700, and premium Ultrabooks are even more expensive.

There are many Ultrabooks available in the market today. Here is my recommendation for one Ultrabook that I think are the best, a model that earned top honors in testing and reviews.

Our recommend: ASUS Zenbook Prime UX31A Ultrabook

ASUS Zenbook Prime UX31A 13.3-Inch Ultrabook

Asus released the second generation of its popular Zenbook this past March. The Zenbook Prime UX31A and ASUS Zenbook UX32VD offer significant improvements from the first iteration of this device.

The Zenbook is well designed, and is as attractive as it is functional. At first glance it appears to be made out of metal, just like the MacBook. However, it feels much sturdier than the MacBook does. The corners and edges are sharp, more like a laptop of the past than the sleek smooth models other companies are currently producing. The main chassis of this model is aluminum, with a brushed finish. The bottom is glossy and shines, while the top sports a pattern that looks a bit like spun metal. There are a total of five textures and shades of metal on the Zenbook, but they all come together in a beautiful package. The one flaw I can see in the model is that the front edge is a bit sharp, so it can dig into your forearms or wrists a bit, much like the MacBook Air.

The Zenbook Prime UX31A is a standout model, with its new eye-catching design, backlit keyboard, Ivy Bridge processors, matte 1080p IP display, and the Intel HD Graphics 4000 (Nvidia 620M GPU for UX32VD ). This laptop is small, but it really packs a punch.
